REYKJAVIK, Iceland - Iceland's prime minister has married her partner under a new law legalizing same-sex marriage in the country.

One of her advisers, Hrannar B. Arnarsson, said Monday Prime Minister Johanna Sigurdardottir and writer Jonina Leosdottir were officially married Sunday, the day the law came into force.

The pair has been in a registered partnership since 2002 and had applied to have it converted into a marriage under the new law. No ceremony was held.
The law was passed without a dissenting vote in Iceland's parliament June 11.
Social Democrat Sigurdardottir, 68, became Iceland's prime minister last year, after the previous centre-right government was ousted by a wave of protest triggered by the country's economic crisis.

Inner Klean

Today is the beginning of day 2 of the Inner Klean detox.  Amber and I started this "feast" yesterday morning.  Basically how it works, you make this vegetable broth with about 7 carrots, half a bunch of celery, parsley, and spinach and you drink about four cups a day.  The rest of the day's meals consists of raw vegetables and fruits, a bit of cottage cheese for breakfast, and some bread and butter at dinner.  But you actually get to eat as many fruits and vegetables you can handle throughout the day!

Yesterday morning i felt fine... But then the headache started in.  I'm going to associate that with caffeine withdrawal.  Since starting my new job two months ago, i've had a Grande mild nearly everyday.  I didn't think I was addicted to caffeine but maybe i was wrong.  The headache was bad... throbbing, on and off.  But the fatigue was brutal too.  I felt just lethargic and sleepy all day.  We thought maybe it had something to do with the weather as well, but who knows.

It's day two today, and so far i feel okay.  Amber had a splitting headache in the middle of last night, and is still hurting now.  I'm feeling pretty good!  Keep you posted.

Introduction

The first entry into a blog is always the most awkward. What does one say?

I've chosen the clever method of addressing the awkwardness in my introductory entry in the very first line. Wonderful.

I intend this blog to be about the things I see and discover, everyday around me, here in my hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Sometimes I come across (stumbleupon?) something online that fascinates me. Sometimes I see something absurd that disgusts/intrigues/amuses/horrifies/entertains me and when I do, sometimes I take a picture of it. Maybe it's illegal. Maybe it's invasive. Maybe I don't really care because I think nobody will actually read this blog anyway.

So folks, discover with me the diversity of Toronto.
